The Xiaomi Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1200G has arrived in China. This is the latest model to join the brand’s smart water purifier range, following earlier releases like the Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G and the Mijia Water Purifier S1 1200G.
Xiaomi’s new Mi Home Water Purifier 2 is designed to be installed in your kitchen sink. Before being dispensed, water passes through a dual core filtration system, said to remove 145 different pollutants. The reverse osmosis (RO) filter cartridge is replaceable, and should last for seven years.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi Home Water Purifier 2’s high flow rate of 3.2L/min would allow you to fill a glass with fresh water in around 2.5 seconds. The water output level can be controlled on the smart touch faucet. Here, you can also view the water’s TDS value, a marker of quality, on the screen. Plus, thanks to HyperOS Connect, users can monitor water usage, the TDS value, and filter usage through Xiaomi’s app.
In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1200G retails for CNY 1,999 (~$292). It is unclear whether or when this model could be released in other markets like Europe, where the brand already sells a range of smart home products. These include the Smart Water Dispenser (Hot and Cold) (curr. €129.99 at Xiaomi Store DE).
