Xiaomi is now crowdfunding for the Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro in China. This new flagship smart home product builds on the older Smart Curtain 2, which launched in this market in 2024.
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro is designed to allow you to remotely open your curtains in a variety of ways. With support for HyperOS Connect, you can use the brand’s app, voice commands, a schedule or a remote to open or close the curtains. Plus, you can gently tug on the curtain to start its motion manually. On top of this, there is a smart wake-up mode that slowly opens the curtains in phases around your chosen wake time. In the Xiaomi app, users can set the desired open and closed points of each curtain and make stepless speed adjustments between 10 and 100%.
Xiaomi’s Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro is powered by dual brushless DC motors, which are said to run quietly and support curtains weighing up to 60 kg (~132 lbs). The right and left curtains can be controlled independently for flexible lighting and privacy solutions. They run on a two-layer track with rubber-coated wheels to reduce vibrations, and the “palm-sized” Wi-Fi device, measuring 59 x 93 x 111 mm (~2.32 x 3.66 x 4.37 inches), is relatively easy to conceal.
In China, the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Curtain 3 Pro is expected to retail for CNY 999 (~$146) following the crowdfunding campaign. It is unclear whether or not this smart home product could be released in other markets like Europe, where the brand already sells gadgets like the Mi Door and Window Sensor 2 (curr. €14.99 at Mi Store DE).
