Matter alliance launches first release of new access control standard
The Connectivity Standards Alliance, best known for the interoperable Matter protocol for smart home and IoT use cases, has launched the inaugural specification for its Aliro access control standard, allowing mobile users to interact with smart entry systems seamlessly. Aliro 1.0 enables compliant smart entry IoT to communicate with leading mobile wallet ecosystems from Apple, Google and Samsung, underpinning a standardised process for verifying digital access to residences, workplaces and public facilities
