BOSTON—June 4, 2026—Blink today announced Single Event Alert, a new AI feature designed to reduce notification overload by grouping related motion alerts into a single, more meaningful notification.

Single Event Alert uses AI to compare video descriptions in real-time, identifying when multiple motion events are actually part of the same activity. The feature analyzes context and groups notifications within a short time window—delivering the insight customers actually need without the notification overload.

With Single Event Alert, users can stay aware of what’s happening around their homes while reducing unnecessary alerts and maintaining peace of mind.

“We’re moving beyond cameras that just detect motion,” said Maciek Tegi, Director of Product at Blink. “Single Event Alert reduces related notifications considerably, so customers get fewer alerts—and the ones they get actually matter.”

How It Works
When you have Blink Video Descriptions turned on (with a compatible Blink AI tier subscription), Single Event Alert analyzes these brief summaries generated for each event to identify patterns and similarities that signal one ongoing activity.

Picture this: A delivery driver pulls up. Gets out of the truck. Walks to your door. Drops off a package. Walks back. That used to be five separate alerts. Now? One.

Related events are still recorded and available in your Event History in the Blink app. You’ll simply be alerted in a more efficient, intuitive way.

The feature requires zero setup—it’s automatically enabled for all Blink AI tier subscribers with Blink Video Descriptions turned on.

The Bigger Picture
Single Event Alert is the latest addition to Blink’s growing suite of AI innovations. Together with Blink Video Descriptions, these features are designed to make it even easier for customers to monitor their homes with smarter, more personalized notifications and better understand what’s happening in and around the home.

Availability
Single Event Alert begins rolling out to Blink AI tier subscribers in the United States (excluding Illinois) today. Limited to mobile devices with English as the primary language. Single Event Alert will be available on all compatible Blink cameras except the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ and Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+.
