Huawei has launched the Smart Home Bluetooth Gateway Lite product, which helps users connect their smart home appliances with a plug and use feature.
Design-wise, it’s a compact device that comes rectangular, while measuring 60x40x54mm and weighing only 65 grams. It comes with a built-in power plug for ready-to-use functionality.
Simply put this device into the socket, and it will start working. That means no additional cable work is required to power this device on. In terms of compatibility, the gateway could connect to Bluetooth and Bluetooth Mesh devices. It also connects light strips, curtain motors, Bluetooth spotlights, temperature sensors, and other products.
The compatibility further expands with Huawei router support. The Smart Home Bluetooth gateway adjusts the frequency band and builds a strong anti-interference around the space for a stable connection.
That’s not all; the device is so smart that it can establish a network connection with Huawei routers, providing a stable and interference-free network in proximity. The gateway achieves this result by connecting to the router network, balancing its resources, and transferring that network strength to the connected devices. Thus improving the end user experience.
A Bluetooth gateway can connect and manage multiple Bluetooth devices, allowing users to remotely conduct data transmission or control connected devices through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. These devices are quite popular in the Chinese smart home market due to their ease of access and smart features.
Huawei has confirmed that the smart home Bluetooth gateway lite supports WiFi 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n and 5 GHz 802.11a. On the other hand, it can connect up to 6 BLE and up to 16 BLE Mesh devices to the internet.
Further specs show that Huawei’s Bluetooth gateway can operate at 0℃～40℃ (32℉～104℉) and be stored at -40℃～70℃ (-40℉～158℉).
This gateway is a HarmonyOS-powered product, which means all smart home products, including Huawei’s own and third-party, fall under its compatibility list. Huawei HarmonyOS Smart Home Bluetooth gateway lite is priced at 129 yuan ($18).
