Tapo, the consumer smart home brand from TP-Link, has officially announced the Canadian launch of its smart sensor lineup, marking its expansion into intelligent, responsive home monitoring. The line, which follows the broader launch of the brand’s smart home portfolio in Canada last week, includes motion, contact, temperature, and humidity sensors.
Tapo’s new sensors seamlessly integrate with Tapo cameras, lighting, and smart plugs. They leverage advanced Sub-GHz technology to provide greater range, reduced interference, and lower power consumption.

With local automation powered by the Tapo Hub, actions like motion-triggered lighting and security alerts happen instantly and continue to function during internet outages. The Tapo ecosystem does not require a subscription.
There are four new products coming to Canada. The Tapo T100 smart motion sensor can detect movement up to seven metres (23 feet) with customizable sensitivity and a wide 120° field-of-view, triggering automation and instant alerts. The Tapo T110 smart contact sensor monitors the open/close status of doors and windows, sending notifications and enabling automated responses like lighting or alarms. The Tapo T310 smart temperature and humidity sensor delivers climate monitoring with real-time tracking and alerts when conditions fall outside preset ranges. And the Tapo T315 smart temperature and humidity monitor with display has a built-in display for at-a-glance readings, paired with app connectivity for remote monitoring and automation.
Tapo smart sensors are now available at select retailers across Canada.
