The Smart Home Tech Show 2025 is here and it’s happening now at Suntec City Convention Centre at level three (11am – 9pm) and level four (12pm – 9pm). The last day is 20 April.

Alongside the HardwareZone team, I visited the show to check out some of the best deals available. In particular, I kept my eye open for any mobile device or accessories as well as gaming deals that caught my attention (and hopefully yours).

Don’t forget to catch the rest of our Smart Home Tech Show 2025 coverage at the Tech Show Portal where you’ll also find full brochure listings, reviews, guides, and more.

The newly launched Google Pixel 9a is available for purchase at the Smart Home Tech Show. It uses the same Tensor G4 chip as the rest of the Pixel 9 series, enabling access to AI features like Gemini Live and other tools such as Magic Editor and Best Take.

The phone features a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Camera-wise, the phone has a 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide camera on the rear and retains features like Night Sight and Photo Unblur while introducing a brand-new Macro Focus mode.

With a more refined, pill-shaped rear camera design, the Pixel 9a also supports dual SIM and offers 128GB or 256GB of storage with 8GB RAM. Its 5,100mAh battery supports 23W wired and 7.5W Qi-certified wireless charging, which should be sufficient for a day’s use.

Apple iPhone 16E

Fancy an iPhone instead? The iPhone 16E is Apple’s latest attempt at offering a “more affordable” iPhone while maintaining essential features.

It sports a design reminiscent of the iPhone 14, with a flat-sided aluminium body, matte glass back, and a notch instead of the newer Dynamic Island. Although it lacks some of the iPhone 16’s premium features like Wi-Fi 7, MagSafe, Camera Control, and a second camera, the iPhone 16E does come with the Action Button, USB-C charging, and Apple’s first in-house modem, C1, which promises better power efficiency.

Overall, the iPhone 16E still delivers a solid performance with a slightly less powerful A18 chip and a sharp Super Retina XDR display.

The iPhone 16E can be found at the Best Denki Booth (318) on level 3 for S$949 and S$1,099 for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. Although there is no discount for the phone, Best Denki is giving out a free 35W Mazer GaN wall charger as well as a 15W Mcdodo wireless charger.
